Infant Learning Programs
Parents will receive a detailed daily report of their infants day including feedings, naps, diaper changes and activities. Each infant's schedule is based on their own individual needs and information given to us by the parent each morning. We strive to have strong communication with parents to change the daily schedule as the infant's needs change.
The infant room uses age appropriate materials for every stage of development to help each infant reach the next milestone. Whether it is rolling over, sitting, crawling or walking, we help each child master their developmental skills. Included in the infant's day is lots of talking, baby signing, singing, rocking, playing and reading to encourage language as well as cognitive, emotional and physical skills. Our infant room provides infants with consistent caregivers with whom the infant can bond with. This helps the infant feel safe and secure and to develop a positive self image.
Much like in the infant room, parents will receive a detailed daily report of the toddler's day. In addition, parents will also be given the opportunity to participate in regular parent- teacher conferences to discuss their child's development and learning.
In the toddler program, we are working on helping each child develop independence; improve coordination, verbal skills, problem solving skills and cooperative play. This is done through potty training, creative arts, language arts, sign language, blocks, dramatic and sensory play. We provide active, sensory based learning activities to keep your toddler actively engaged in learning. Toddlers learn in a safe and gently guided environment to help them feel independent and secure.
In our preschool class, parents will find our weekly lesson plans, meal menus and upcoming events all posted on our bulletin board in the lobby. These postings allow parents to stay informed on a daily basis. In addition, parents will meet with their child's teacher quarterly to discuss progress, current skills and future academic goals for their child. Parent suggestions are always welcome, as we strive to meet our families needs. Likewise, parents are always encouraged to speak with staff regard any concern that they may have and the concern will be immediately addressed.
Our preschool classroom is designed to meet every student at his/her current academic level. Our curriculum is designed to be Montessori like in the way we teach and the materials used for instruction. We will work with each child to help them develop the skills necessary to reach the next academic level on their educational path. We have not only a preschool curriculum available to students, but also a Kindergarten curriculum as well. We are dedicated to helping your child develop skills to be successful in elementary school and to enter Kindergarten at an above average level. After-School support
